AIA spotlights young designers for their solutions to issues facing communities around the world
Projects showcased at AIA National Headquarters and online exhibit
The AIA’s new emerging professionals exhibit honors the most creative new projects from architecture’s rising generation. The exhibit theme, “It Takes a Community,” highlights how collaboration and community engagement improve the design process for greater positive public impact. The selected projects provide design solutions for affordable housing, shelters for homeless, schools for special needs children, reducing energy and water consumption, earthquake mitigation, along with many other issues facing communities around the world. Selections were chosen by a jury based on the quality of their graphical and written elements, as well as their relationship to this year’s theme.
